She has MA degrees in English Studies, Arabic Studies and Iranian Studies from the Eötvös Loránd University, and a PhD from the Multidisciplinary Doctoral School of the Univeristy of Economy of Budapest. In 2006 she received a habilitated doctor title from the Corvinus University of Budapest, where in 2007 she received the title of Honorary Professor. In 2008 she became the Honorary Professor of the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University as well. From 2009 she has been an Associate Professor at the Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University, from 2012 an Associate Professor at the National University of Public Service. She is a member of the War Studes Doctoral School of the NUPS, and is a supervisor at other doctoral schools (Corvinus University, Pécs University, Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj).
Between 1990 and 2016 a Senior Research Fellow, Executive, later Academic Deputy Director of the Hungarian institute of International Affairs and its successor institutions. Currently she is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. As an associate research fellow she is responsible for the MENARA (H2020) and EuroMeSCo (ENI) projects of IFAT.
